Rijkswaterstaat is celebrating its 225th anniversary this year. Together with TAPPAN Communicatie, MCW designed and developed the concept for an Immersive Experience that encourages visitors to think and discuss what the Netherlands will look like in the future.

Rijkswaterstaat's role extends far beyond building roads and dykes. For more than 200 years, Rijkswaterstaat has been shaping the Netherlands, our infrastructure, our safety, our quality of life.

Stepping into the Immersive Space, a 360-degree projection starts on the history and future of one theme that Rijkswaterstaat is responsible for. In total, there are four different themes. The projection is followed by a dilemma question. Visitors determine their opinion by standing on a certain spot in the experience, after which the system automatically counts the votes and displays the results.

The experience has now been placed in LEF, the Future Centre of RWS, but can be used at various locations.
